1 lb asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the penne pasta. Cook for 8-10 minutes, until al dente.
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp, asparagus, garlic, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp is cooked through.
Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the skillet with the shrimp and asparagus. Toss until everything is combined and heated through. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
