Ingredients
- 2 cups puffed wheat cereal
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the puffed wheat cereal and butter. Stir until cereal is completely coated with butter.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar, white sugar, and golden syrup. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat, and stir in the vanilla extract. Pour over the cereal mixture, and stir until evenly coated. Pour into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
