Ingredients
- 2 lb. prime rib roast
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. dried thyme
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. sea salt
- 1 tsp. freshly cracked black pepper
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix together to make the seasoning.
- Pat the roast dry with paper towels. Rub the roast with the olive oil and then rub in the seasoning.
- Place the roast in a roasting pan, fat side up. Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the roast.
- Roast the prime rib in the oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, until the internal temperature reaches 135°F.
- Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
