Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup ketchup

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, 1/3 cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well with your hands.
  3. Shape mixture into a loaf and place in an ungreased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  4. Bake for 40 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, bring beef broth to a boil. Reduce heat and add flour, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened.
  6. Add 1/4 cup ketchup and mix well.
  7. Pour gravy over meatloaf and bake for 5 more minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes before slicing.
