Ingredients
- 2 ½ pounds of beef brisket
- 1 cup of ketchup
- ¾ cup of brown sugar
- ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon of celery seed
- ½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- Salt to taste
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, ground mustard, celery seed, cayenne pepper, and salt.
- Place the brisket in a large baking dish and pour the ketchup mixture over the top. Flip the brisket over to make sure it is fully coated.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 2 hours, or until the brisket is tender and juicy.
- Serve hot or cold.
