- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup red wine (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Directions
- Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is cooked through and no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
- Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the pan and cook until they are softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, paprika, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Add the beef broth and red wine (if using). Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Serve the goulash hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
