Ingredients
- 1 cup Door County cherries, pitted and chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup brandy
Directions
- In a small saucepan, combine the cherries, sugar, and water. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat and simmer the mixture for 5 minutes until the sugar has dissolved.
- Strain the mixture into a large bowl. Discard the solids.
- Add the brandy to the mixture and stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into a clean, airtight container and store in a cool, dark place for at least two weeks.
- Strain the mixture through cheesecloth before serving.
