Ingredients
- 1 lb cooked octopus, sliced
- 1 cup tempura batter mix
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
Directions
- In a small bowl, mix tempura batter mix and water to create a smooth batter.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 375°F.
- Dip sliced octopus in tempura batter, then carefully drop into hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, and chili flakes. Heat over medium heat until warmed through.
- Arrange fried octopus on a serving platter, drizzle with soy sauce mixture, and sprinkle with green onions, cilantro, and peanuts.
