Ingredients
- 1 lb ground venison
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
- 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a skillet, brown the ground venison over medium heat until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add the peas and carrots, broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, boil the sweet potatoes in a pot of water until tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
