Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork sausage
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 can (8 oz) oysters, drained and chopped
  • 8 cups dried bread cubes
  • 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onion and celery until softened.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cooked sausage, onion, celery, parsley, chopped oysters, bread cubes, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Gradually add chicken broth to the mixture, stirring to combine evenly.
  6. Transfer the dressing mixture to a greased baking dish.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
