Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 4 1/2 - 5 cups all-purpose flour

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine pumpkin, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  2. Mix in eggs until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Add yeast mixture and melted butter to pumpkin mixture.
  5. Gradually stir in flour until dough forms.
  6. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  7. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  8. Punch down dough and roll out into a rectangle.
  9. Spread pumpkin filling over dough and roll up tightly.
  10. Cut rolled dough into slices and place in a greased baking dish.
  11. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  12. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
