Pizzagna is a delightful combination of two popular Italian dishes - pizza and lasagna. This dish features layers of pasta, cheese, meat, and marinara sauce, topped with pepperoni and baked to perfection. It's a crowd-pleaser that will leave everyone satisfied and asking for more.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- 1 package lasagna noodles
- 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Pepperoni slices
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Italian seasoning
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or sausage over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
- Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by a layer of noodles and cheese mixture. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
- Top with pepperoni slices and any remaining cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
