Kraut-balls are a tasty appetizer or snack that combines the tangy flavor of sauerkraut with savory ingredients like ground beef, onions, and breadcrumbs. They are perfect for parties or game day gatherings, and are sure to be a hit with your friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained and chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine sauerkraut, ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Fry the kraut-balls in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
