Lasagna Stuffed Shells are a unique twist on traditional lasagna, where tender pasta shells are filled with a cheesy lasagna mixture and topped with marinara sauce. This dish is sure to satisfy your craving for comfort food!

Ingredients

  • 1 box of jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with diced onions and minced garlic. Season with oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add half of the jar of marinara sauce to the beef mixture and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Stuff each pasta shell with the cheese mixture and place in a baking dish.
  6. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and sprinkle with extra mozzarella cheese.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
