Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup cherry preserves
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Slowly add the flour and salt, mixing until the dough comes together.
- Divide the dough in half and shape each half into a log about 2 inches in diameter.
- Chill the dough logs in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

- Make a small indentation in the center of each cookie and fill with a small amount of cherry preserves.
