Ingredients

  • 4 pounds of country-style pork ribs
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat. If using a gas grill, preheat one side to medium and leave the other side off.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the flavors meld together. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Season the country-style ribs generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  4. Place the ribs directly over the heat on the grill. Close the lid and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until nicely seared.
  5. Once the ribs are seared, move them to the side of the grill that is not directly over the heat. Brush the ribs generously with the prepared barbeque sauce on both sides.
  6. Close the lid and continue to cook the ribs for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until tender. Make sure the grill stays at a constant medium heat, around 275-300°F (135-150°C).
  7. Every 30 minutes, baste the ribs with additional barbeque sauce to keep them moist.
  8. When the ribs are tender and nicely glazed, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Serve the barbequed country ribs with extra sauce on the side and enjoy!
