Ingredients
- 3 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, mirin, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, black pepper, honey, hoisin sauce, and ketchup to make the teriyaki marinade.
- Place the baby back ribs in a large ziplock bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the ribs are fully coated in the marinade. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Remove the ribs from the marinade, reserving the marinade for basting. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for about 1 hour, turning occasionally and basting with the reserved marinade.
- In a small saucepan, combine the cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Pour the remaining marinade into the saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Brush the thickened teriyaki sauce onto the ribs and continue grilling for an additional 30 minutes or until the ribs are tender and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes. Slice the racks into individual ribs and serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
- Enjoy the juicy and flavorful Teriyaki Baby Back Ribs with your favorite sides.
