Ingredients
- 1 cup black chana (black chickpeas), soaked overnight
- 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish
Directions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Saute until they splutter.
- Add chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Saute until onions turn translucent.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add diced potatoes and soaked black chana. Mix everything together.
- Add enough water to cover the ingredients. Cover and cook until potatoes and chana are cooked through.
