Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup Nutella
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts (optional)
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, melted butter, sugar, and salt. Mix until the ingredients come together and form a dough-like consistency.
- Press the dough evenly into the greased baking pan, creating a crust. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- While the crust is baking, in another bowl, whisk together the Nutella, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Remove the crust from the oven and pour the Nutella mixture over it. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
- If desired, sprinkle the chopped hazelnuts over the Nutella layer.
- Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean with some moist crumbs.
- Remove from the oven and let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
- Serve and enjoy these delicious homemade Nutella bars!
