Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons tandoori masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 cups lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, tandoori masala, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, turmeric, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, making sure they are coated on all sides. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off any excess. Discard the remaining marinade.
  4. Grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and nicely charred. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice the chicken into thin strips.
  5. In a large salad bowl, combine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. Toss to mix evenly.
  6. Place the sliced tandoori chicken on top of the salad mixture. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
  7. Serve the Tandoori Chicken Salad with lemon wedges on the side.
  8. Enjoy this delicious and flavorful fusion salad!
