Ingredients

  • 1 pound dried navy beans
  • 1 large onion, diced

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 cups water
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)

Directions

  1. Rinse the navy beans under cold water and drain.
  2. In a large pot, combine the navy beans, diced onion, minced garlic, barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, chili powder, black pepper, salt, and 6 cups of water.
