Ingredients

  • 1 package of pre-made pie crusts
  • 2 potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Then add onions, garlic, and ginger. Saute until onions are translucent.
  4. Add turmeric, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook for a minute.
  5. Add mashed potatoes and peas. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Roll out one pie crust and place it in a pie dish. Add the potato mixture on top.
  7. Cover with the second pie crust, crimping edges together to seal. Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
