  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 5 minutes. Drain and transfer to a large bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain again and set aside.

  5. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Cook until heated through and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add the green beans to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the green beans are tender and the sauce is bubbly.
