Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • Bamboo skewers, soaked in water

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, honey, lime juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the bowl and mix well, ensuring all the meat is coated with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes, or refrigerate for up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated beef slices onto the soaked bamboo skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.
  5. Grill the beef skewers for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the meat is browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  6. Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve the Beef Satay with steamed rice and peanut sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
