Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 20 egg roll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Sweet and sour sauce for dipping

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground pork over medium heat and drain excess fat
  2. Add the cabbage, carrots, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil to the skillet and cook until vegetables are tender
  3. Place one egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with a corner pointing towards you
  4. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the pork mixture onto the center of the wrapper
  5. Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, then fold the sides towards the center, and roll tightly to seal
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F
  7. Fry the egg rolls in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy
  8. Remove egg rolls from oil and drain on paper towels
  9. Serve hot with sweet and sour sauce for dipping
