  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 cup hot coffee
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup cookie crumbs

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease two 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in hot coffee until the batter is smooth and pour into the prepared cake pans.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cakes cool completely.
