Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 package chocolate fondant

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.

  7. Once the cakes are completely cool, cover them with chocolate fondant.
  8. Roll out the fondant on a clean surface and carefully drape it over the cake. Smooth out any wrinkles or air bubbles.
  9. Trim off any excess fondant and decorate the cake as desired.
