- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Spread the dough into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top and press them lightly into the dough.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned. Let cool before cutting into bars.
