This creamy pumpkin potato mash is a perfect side dish for fall or Thanksgiving. Made with a combination of pumpkins and potatoes, it has a velvety texture and a hint of sweetness. The dish is easy to prepare and will complement any main course.
Ingredients
- 2 cups pumpkin puree
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions
- In a large pot, boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a separate pot, steam or boil the pumpkin until soft. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, mashed potatoes, butter, heavy cream, brown sugar, salt, pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
