Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 pound boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 pound fettuccine pasta
Directions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the white wine and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, salt, parsley, and thyme and bring to a simmer.
- Add the chicken cubes and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the shrimp and simmer for an additional 5 minutes or until the shrimp are cooked through.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the butter.
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine according to package directions.
- Drain the pasta and return to the pot.
- Add the sauce and gently mix to combine.
- Serve with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
