Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture just until blended.
  5. Stir in the cranberries and walnuts.
  6. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
