Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in orange extract and zest.
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with orange juice. Fold in cranberries. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely.
