Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 1/2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 9-inch unbaked pastry shell

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Add the cranberries and toss until evenly coated.
  2. Spoon the cranberry mixture into the pastry shell. In a separate bowl, combine the walnuts, brown sugar, flour, butter, and cinnamon. Sprinkle the walnut mixture over the cranberries.
  3. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the filling is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  4. Cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
