Mexican Avocado Dressing (Aderezo de Aguacate)
Ingredients
4 cups cubed stale bread
2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
2 tablespoons melted butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
Stir in the cranberries and pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
