Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 hamburger buns, toasted

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or under the broiler until slightly golden.
