- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a rectangular baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Divide the batter into two equal portions. To one portion, add the cocoa powder and milk, stirring until well combined.
