Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk or plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the buttermilk or yogurt. Fold in the cinnamon chips.
  3. Pour into the prepared pan. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
