Ingredients
- 1 package of dry active yeast
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of warm milk
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup of melted butter for brushing
Directions
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in 1/4 cup of warm water. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the warm milk, butter, and eggs. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Add the yeast mixture and knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface. Sprinkle with cocoa powder, cinnamon, and chocolate chips. Roll up the dough to form a log.
- Cut the log into 12 even pieces and place in a greased 9 by 13 inch baking dish. Brush with melted butter.
- Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
