Ingredients

  • 1 package of dry active yeast
  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of warm milk
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter for brushing

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in 1/4 cup of warm water. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the warm milk, butter, and eggs. Mix until everything is well combined.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface. Sprinkle with cocoa powder, cinnamon, and chocolate chips. Roll up the dough to form a log.
  5. Cut the log into 12 even pieces and place in a greased 9 by 13 inch baking dish. Brush with melted butter.
  6. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
