Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped scallions

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour and salt.
  2. Slowly add in the warm water while stirring with a wooden spoon, until a dough forms.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 10 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
  4. Form the dough into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into eight equal pieces.
  6. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each piece into a thin circle.
  7. Brush each circle with sesame oil, and sprinkle with chopped scallions.
  8. Roll each circle up, like a jelly roll.
  9. Roll out each jelly roll into a thin circle again.
  10. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, and cook each pancake for about 3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  11. Serve warm.
