Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup biscuit mix
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper until blended.
  4. Gradually stir in chicken broth, and cook until thickened.
  5. Stir in chicken, mixed vegetables, and milk.
  6. In a medium bowl, combine biscuit mix and cheese.
  7. Sprinkle biscuit mixture over chicken mixture.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
