Ingredients

  • 2 cups of fresh fruit of any kind (berries, apples, pears, peaches, etc.)
  • 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of honey or agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon or nutmeg

Directions

  1. Chop the fruit into small pieces and place in a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Add the chia seeds, honey, and lemon juice and stir to combine.
  3. Optional: Add the ground cinnamon or nutmeg, if desired.
  4. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes, or until the chia seeds have absorbed some of the liquid and the mixture thickens.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a shallow dish and let it cool for another 5 minutes before serving.
