Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound Italian sausage, casing removed
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 bunch Swiss chard, stemmed and chopped
2 cups cooked small pasta, such as orecchiette
1 (15-ounce) can white beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Heat the olive oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the sausage and cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until it is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and cook for 1 minute.
Add the Swiss chard and cook until wilted, about 2 minutes.
Stir in the cooked pasta and white beans and cook for 1 minute.
Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
Serve hot.
