Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (125g) butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (125g) peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (125g) chopped semi-sweet chocolate (or chocolate chips)
  • 1/2 cup (125g) melted semi-sweet chocolate

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chopped semi-sweet chocolate.
  6. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and press a small hole in each cookie, using the handle of a wooden spoon or your finger. Fill with melted chocolate and let cool.
