Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the melted butter, sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla, and eggs.
  3. Mix in the salt, flour, cocoa powder, and butterscotch chips. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the center is set. Cool completely.
  5. To make the frosting, beat together the cream cheese, 1 tablespoon butter, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla until smooth. Gradually beat in the confectioners' sugar until the frosting is thick and spreadable.
