Ingredients

  • 2 cups of buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup of molasses
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 cups of heavy cream

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, molasses, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the buttermilk mixture into the whipped cream until evenly combined.
  4. Pour the ice cream mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish and freeze for at least 4 hours.
