Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cooked black beans
  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, mash the black beans until mostly smooth.
  2. Add the quinoa, bread crumbs, bell pepper, onion, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, and salt. Stir to combine.
  3. Shape the mixture into 4 patties. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the burgers for 4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
  5. Serve with your favorite condiments.
