Ingredients

  • 1 15-ounce can butter beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, vegan cheese, ketchup, mustard

Directions

  1. In a food processor, combine the butter beans, garlic, breadcrumbs, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, parsley, and onion. Pulse until the mixture is combined and the beans are broken down.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Serve the patties on hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.
