Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 3 cups fresh blackberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Mix together the butter, flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl until crumbly.
- Add the cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring after each addition until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until it is large enough to fit a 9 inch pie plate.
- Press the dough into the pie plate and trim off the edges.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the blackberries, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Pour the blackberry mixture into the pie plate and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Let cool before serving.
