Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 3 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Mix together the butter, flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl until crumbly.
  3. Add the cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring after each addition until a dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until it is large enough to fit a 9 inch pie plate.
  5. Press the dough into the pie plate and trim off the edges.
  6. In a medium bowl, mix together the blackberries, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  7. Pour the blackberry mixture into the pie plate and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Let cool before serving.
