Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 block firm tofu, cut into cubes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the tofu cubes and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce and 1/4 cup of water.
  5. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of cold water.
  7. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  8. Serve hot.
