Ingredients
1 large onion
2 cups of all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1 teaspoon of paprika
2 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
1 cup of beer
Oil for frying
Directions
Start by cutting the top off of the onion and then slicing it downwards into 8 wedges, taking care not to cut all the way through.
Mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
Pour the beer into a separate bowl.
Dip the onion wedges in the beer and then roll them in the flour mixture until completely coated.
Fill a large pot with enough oil to fry the onion wedges and heat over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F.
Carefully drop the onion wedges into the pot and fry for about 3 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove the onion wedges from the pot and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
